Hi, my name is Kate Kemp-Griffin and I founded Pink Bra Bazaar in 2010 to educate and empower women about breast health. It all started because of two extraordinary women who gave me their love.
My adoptive mother, Heather, gave her love unconditionally. She lived her vocation both as a nurse and a mother in extraordinary ways, often using her exceptional skills as a seamstress to create wonder through stitch and imagination. Her favourite thimble accompanies me on every breast health workshop I offer.
My biological mother, Lynn, who immediately reached out and urged me to get a mammogram when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. My screening revealed early-stage breast cancer and I was treated without complications. Tragically, though, the disease claimed Lynn’s life.
The love my two mothers gave so selflessly has expanded over the years to embrace so many others whose lives are nourished by our shared connections and experiences.
